FIRST AID FOR CHILDCARE & SCHOOLS

Overview

AUSCompliance Training offers the HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting course.

This course is specifically designed for educators and support staff in schools, kindergartens and childcare centres.

This unit of competency will contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training, under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulation (2011).

This unit of competency is approved by ACECQA, and meets the requirements of “First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis”. There is no need to undertake separate Asthma or Anaphylaxis training if you complete this course.

Entry Requirements

It is a physical entry requirement that you must be able to kneel on the ground and perform CPR for at least 2 minutes. This is an Australian Government requirement and we cannot make exceptions.

Duration

Blended Mode 1 Day 2 Hours pre-course study 6 Hours face-to-face Face to Face Mode 1 or 2 Days 8 Hours face-to-face

Location & Times

This course is mostly delivered to groups (minimum 8 people), however we can also accomodate individuals. For groups we work with you to select a suitable day & time for training at your site. If you are an individual, you can attend one of our public first aid courses. These courses start at 9am.

Lunch

We allocate 30-60 minutes for a lunch break. It is recommend that you bring a water bottle to the course.

Payment Terms & Refund Policy

Payment must be made prior to the course date to secure your booking. Payment options include: Direct into our account via EFT, or over the phone with a debit/credit card. Cancellations or transfers must be received 3 business days prior to training or a fee may be incurred. A full refund will be applied if you give at least 3 working days’ notice. Auscompliance Pty Ltd may apply a full refund given at our discretion in some circumstances where less than 3 working days’ notice is provided.

Assessment

Online pre-course study is required to be completed prior to your training if choosing the blended mode option. On the day, you will be assessed using a mixture of theoretical and practical exercises. Award Issued

On successful completion of this course you will be awarded a statement of attainment. This training is valid for 3 years. Please note, the CPR component needs to be refreshed annually.
