Overview

Our nationally recognised 10685NAT Course in Safe Handling of Sharps and Infectious Waste training teaches participants important skills in the identification, assessment and safe removal of sharps and infectious waste. This course is designed for staff in workplaces such as councils, cleaning companies, health organisations and waste collection services.

Group Training Only – 8 Participants Minimum

  • Adherence to organisational policies and procedures for the handling of sharps & infectious waste
  • Risk assessment and hazard identification
  • Implementation of control measures
  • Safe removal of sharps and infectious waste
  • Identification of consequences and implications
  • Personal protective equipment and removal equipment usage

Payment Terms & Refund Policy

Payment must be made prior to the course date to secure your booking. Payment options include: Direct into our account via EFT, or over the phone with a debit/credit card. Cancellations or transfers must be received 3 business days prior to training or a fee may be incurred. A full refund will be applied if you give at least 3 working days’ notice. Auscompliance Pty Ltd may apply a full refund given at our discretion in some circumstances where less than 3 working days’ notice is provided.

Assessment

Online pre-course study is required to be completed prior to your training if choosing the blended mode option. On the day, you will be assessed using a mixture of theoretical and practical exercises. Award Issued

On successful completion of this course you will be awarded a statement of attainment. Industry standards recommend that this training should be refreshed every 2 years.
